Privacy Policy
Tourism Top End recognises its moral and legal responsibility, in particular to the Privacy Act 1988, and other related Acts, to ensure that personal information collected from employees, contractors, customers, and visitors is:
1. used only for the reason it was collected, or in ways people would think reasonable unless you have their consent, have given them an opportunity to opt-out or the use is authorised by another law
2. passed on only for the reason it was collected, or in ways people would think reasonable, unless you have consent, or the disclosure is authorised by another law
3. provided to them if they ask, so as to give them a chance to see any information you hold about them
4. Kept secure, accurate and up to date.
5. Kept away from those who do not need to see it - staff as well as customers.
Tourism Top also endeavours to tell people when collecting personal information what they expect to do with it and to provide them with an opportunity to opt out of any direct marketing undertaken.
When disposing of documents and / or storage devices Tourism Top End will:
1. check computers for personal or sensitive information before they are disposed of; and
2. destroy personal or sensitive information securely and not dispose of it in a street bin.
