Hosting a monthly member meeting provides a great opportunity to engage with the association and the tourism industry. It provides you the opportunity to showcase the property or provide an update on the product in General business. The host can provide any relevant brochures or marketing flyers at the meeting.

NT Learning Adventures is a collaboration of tour, transport, accommodation, attraction and experience providers offering specialised services for the education sector. Join us for a 1-hour information session to learn more about:
  • data and insights on current school excursions to the NT
  • the Save and Learn grant funding program
  • Study NT famil opportunities and programs

Tourist boost to the Territory

Visitors injected $3 billion into the Territory economy in the year ending June 2023, boosting jobs and supporting local businesses.

According to the latest National and International Visitor Survey Results, it’s a 42% growth in expenditure compared to the $2.1 billion spent in the previous year to June.

More Campsites for Litchfield

Territorians have more options for camping, with a Litchfield favorite completing its expansion.
Works on new campsites at Surprise Creek Falls have finished faster than anticipated, with 12 new sites ready just in time for the school holidays, bringing the total campsites to 19.

Aboriginal Grant Funding and Forum 
Tourism funding to enhance the Territory's Aboriginal cultural experience for visitors
Round 6 of the Aboriginal Tourism Grant Program is open with a $500,000 (excluding GST) total funding pool.
NT majority Aboriginal owned businesses or organisations with a goal to develop or enhance Aboriginal cultural tourism experiences and products can apply for funding between $30,000 and $100,000 (excluding GST).
Applications close on 4 October 2024.

Tourism NT is providing a total of up to $150,000 (excluding GST) in consultancy services to NT Aboriginal majority owned businesses and organisations to help access opportunities and unlock potential funding to support  the development of Aboriginal cultural tourism.

  Aboriginal Tourism Forum 2023
 On 15 November 2023, the second forum will be held at the Alice Springs Convention Centre. The forum is being delivered in partnership with the NT Aboriginal Tourism Committee. Registrations are now open.
The first NT forum was held in November 2022 in Darwin and attracted 130 delegates, of which over 50% were Aboriginal Territorians.

Attracting the Accessible Tourism Community
Last week as a part of October Business Month the Top End Visitor Information Centre presented at the ‘Attracting the Accessible Tourism Community’ in collaboration with Tourism NT and Flare Access. It was exciting to see businesses engaging in this space and how even small changes can make a big difference.
 Accessibility is a crucial aspect of creating inclusive and welcoming spaces for people of all abilities. Well done to the Darwin Waterfront Corporation and Katherine Outback Experience who recently have been accredited in accessibility and making positive improvements.
