Planning is underway for a program of activities, events and interactive projects throughout November and December 2024 with an official commemorative ceremony scheduled for 30 November 2024.
As we approach the 50th anniversary of Cyclone Tracy, we’re seeing increased interest from visitors and locals alike who are eager to attend the commemoration events. Many are already planning their travel and accommodation around what’s on offer, so now is the time to ensure your event is included in the official program.

Kakadu National Park is now accepting permit applications for Ubirr wet season access.
Permit application packs are being sent out via email to all current land-based commercial operators. Applications can be downloaded by visiting the link below.
With a valid wet season permit and key, operators can access the stunning Ubirr art site between 8:30 am and sunset from 1 December to 31 March.
Ubirr will open to the general public from 2:00 pm to sunset during this period, subject to seasonal conditions.

TNT Distribution Grant Program The Distribution Grant Program 2024/25 is now live. The program seeks to support NT tourism businesses through a phased approach throughout their distribution journey. Eligible businesses can apply for funding to support initiatives including an online booking system, translation services and contracting expert advice to assist with international distribution planning into Tourism NT’s emerging markets (China, Japan and Singapore).
